Poem

CAEZAR

Et Tu, Et tu;

Take me somewhere new;

Rome has fallen, again.

The Trump-its stopped playing, again;

This may well be the end-

Of it.

And what have we done?

It is etched in stone-

hidden under the tablets,

Underneath Rome.

Do not fear a judgement day;

There is no way judgement could last-

                 For one day.

It lasts as the universe expands;

And in the end falls upon itself with bloody hands.

Et tu, Caezar?  Et quid nobis, Caezar?
